english version

SOBRALASOLAS! is a radio opera of live, streamed and recorded sounds. This project, which began in 2007, gathered a group of sound artists who through time have developed a series of episodes. SOBRALASOLAS! does not have any preestablished scenario, nor is there a story to be told. Built on a system that combines traditional studio practices (montage/mixing) and networks (the streaming techniques used for the remote sound recordings with open mikes and remote live improvised performances), SOBRALASOLAS! aims to slow down the act of listening by producing a large and broad live scenography of memorised and live sounds. Such as an inversion of the stage and the studio reveals the undescribable and amplifies the forgotten details of our everyday lives, mishaps, adventures, narratives and imagined soundscapes. The mutating radiopera combines improvised, composed, streamed, and mixed sounds in open and continuous forms of diffuse narrations. Future episodes will explore various combinations of remote protocols using composition, improvisation, and live, remote and local performances, performed by the six participants who, whether physically present or not, feed off one another's audio environment and sonic reactions. SOBRALASOLAS!, quoted from Finnegans Wake by James Joyce : a musical concert, radiophonic work and comprovised networked system conducted by Jérôme, and a work in-progress on-line podcast and fictive and "told" recordings.
"Reality is nothing but a collective hunch." (Lily Tomlin & Sage Francis   1  )
"I believe that ghosts are part of the future." (Jacques Derrida)
"Any social state requires fictions."

"Reality is nothing but a collective hunch." (Lily Tomlin & Sage Francis   1  )
(Jacques Derrida, in « Ghost Dance » by Ken McMullen)
"Tout état social exige des fictions." (Paul Valéry, in « Regards sur le Monde Actuel »)
